DO YOU RECOMMEND TRAVEL INSURANCE? Absolutely. Be sure to check the fine print of your policy and get in writing confirmation exactly what your policy does and does not cover. Premium cover will protect you should you need to cancel and receive a refund, for instances such as sickness or new work commitments. Apart from refunding your monies paid for your trip. A good travel insurance policy will also cover medical expense and medical evacuation coverage. Plus, coverage for lost and stolen luggage and personal effects.

I’M FAIRLY NEW TO YOGA? –Fine, Our 200 hour YTT can host all students, who have at least one year experience of yoga instruction behind them. The program can be challenging over the 28 days and therefore, you will need to have an adequate level of fitness. But don’t worry, we pride ourselves on providing all our students a supportive, safe, and relaxed environment.
CAN I BRING MY PARTNER WITH ME? Yes of course. However, should you wish your partner to join you on the program. You are kindly asked to notify us upon booking. The same rates still apply to your partner, whether or not they choose to take part in the 200 hour YTT or not. At the same time, you will need to let us know what your bedding preferences are i.e. a twin or king beds. We would require two deposits to confirm both places on the program. Our program is strictly for adults who we deem physically capable of completing the program. Any health problems should be discussed with us beforehand.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING WITH ME? You must bring cool comfortable yoga clothing, any essential medication, swimwear, cash currency, your credit card, and perhaps a ATM card. Please remember to tell your bank you’re going away to Greece for a month, otherwise they may block your card. You must also bring a copy of your Travel Insurance policy and making sure your passport is valid for a minimum six months.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE IN NOV/DEC? Amorgos generally has very nice weather and lots of sunshine most of the year round. The advantage of joining us in Nov/Dec is the crowds have gone home and the weather is comfortable.
HOW MUCH FREE TIME WILL GET? The free time will depend upon how the program moves along, although I would expect you to have plenty of time to chill out.
GETTING TO AMORGOS?
Flying into Athens International Airport (ATH) is the most convenient way to start your trip over to Amorgos.
Ferries dock alternately at the two ports of Amorgos Island: Katapola and Aegiali (the latter closest to the hotel). The ports of Amorgos can also be reached with high speed vessels departing from Piraeus and Rafina ports. You can take Seajet Superjet or Hellenic Seaways to reach Amorgos
All options for your transfer from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos to the port of Piraeus:
- Bus: The express bus X96 leaves every 20 minutes during the day and very 40 minutes at night from the Athens International Airport Arrivals Level (between Entrance 4 and 5) to “Karaiskaki Square” in Piraeus, right outside the ferry port. The ticket costs 5.00€. The trip takes from about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and a half.
- Metro: The subway will take you from the airport to Monastiraki station. There you will change to line 1 (green line). The end of line 1 is Piraeus station, just outside the entrance to the ferry port. The journey time from Athens International Airport to the port of Piraeus is about one hour. Trains are every half hour (on the hour and every half hour) with the first service departing the airport at 05:30am and the last service at 23:30pm.
- Taxi: This is naturally the most hassle-free way and also the most expensive way to travel. The drive from the airport to the port varies depending on traffic etc usually between 45 to 60 minutes. For updated information please see here.
